Since ancient times cutlery was one of the first tools which man made and held and is still closely related to our lives in the present day. However, we feel uncomfortable to see rust on cutlery which diminishes the enjoyment of eating particularly when the blade is to be used to cut food.
It took quite some time after stainless steel cutlery was introduced to be accepted as the norm, because it was initially criticized unfavorably for being dull, because there was no suitable stainless steel specifically for cutlery.
VG1 was the solution to dispel this dissatisfaction. VG1 is the first grade in our company's "stainless blade steel series".
We use low impurity quality raw materials. The steel is ingot produced using the latest melting technology. Its structure is extremely precise with high toughness, satisfactory for hot forging works, ease to heat treat with excellent corrosion resistance expected in stainless steel.
The blade is made from VG1 has four major advantages:
1)rigid 2) wear resistant 3) resistant to galling 4) corrosion resistant
The 1.0% of Carbon content in VG1, helps to increase the abrasion resistance of the steel due to the hard primary and secondary carbides in the material matrix. 14% Chromium content improves the corrosion resistance. Mo(molybdenum) forms hard double carbides, which also contributes to both corrosion and abrasion resistance VG1 is used in variety applications such as hair scissors, kitchen knives, industrial food machine blade etc.
