V-Toku1 and V-Toku2 is excellent alloy blade steel, which have the following advantages within the Takefu "V-Steel" range.
1. low impurity
2. easy heat treatment
3. Strong temper
4. Good processing (hot forging)
The elements Ch (Chromium), W(Tungsten) and V(Vanadium), form hard and compact carbide in the steel which improve durability.
High hardness and high strength are achieved by addition of W (Tungsten), which combined with Cr (Chromium) to enhance the steel properties, which, produces a well-balanced steel to make annealing easier and improved hardenability.
C | Cr | W | V | Hardness | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
V-Toku1 | 1.15 | 0.35 | 2.25 | <0.20 | HRC64≦ |
V-Toku2 | 1.05 | 0.25 | 1.25 | <0.20 | HRC64≦ |
